- 3 years of experience in the semiconductor industry maintaining equipment such as:
Lithography, wet etch, dry etch, thin films, vacuum, deposition, CMP, PECVD, CVD or RF. - Experience troubleshooting electrical/electronics, mechanical/pneumatics, software controls, or vacuum systems.
- Ability to work non-standard hours, including working weekends, holidays and on shift-based schedules as required.
- Ability to lift various 50lbs equipment periodically throughout an 8 hour shift.
- Associates Degree or Trade/Technical School Certificate.
- Experience troubleshooting equipment by checking software logs, Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) signals, and wiring to find the root cause of a failure.
- Experience using diagnostic equipment (e.g., helium leak checking, multimeters, and oscilloscopes).
- Experience supporting emergency response and safety teams.
- Ability to follow strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintain accurate maintenance logs and equipment documentation.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics.

In this role, you will be a skilled Equipment Technician to support our micro
LED and Augmented Reality development. This role focuses on the maintenance and repair of critical semiconductor manufacturing equipment in a cleanroom environment. You will support and maintain a variety of systems, including Vacuum, Lithography, Wet/Dry Etch, Thin Film Deposition, Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD), Radio Frequency (RF), and Chemical Mechanical Planarization (CMP). You will have an excellent technical foundation in several of these areas to troubleshoot issues and maintain equipment.
You will work independently and cross-functionally supporting equipment installations, maintenance, modifications, and repairs. Google’s Raxium display group has established a revolutionary semiconductor materials display technology that enables new functionality in display products, bringing to users a closer and more natural linkage between the digital and physical realms in applications such as augmented reality (AR) and light‑field display. With start‑up roots and a state‑of‑the‑art compound semiconductor fab in Silicon Valley, Raxium is seeking to build upon its engineering team with an aim to disrupt next‑generation display markets.
The US base salary range for this full‑time position is $87,000‑$125,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. - Perform routine preventative and corrective maintenance to maximize equipment uptime.
- Execute electro‑mechanical and pneumatic troubleshooting on a variety of toolsets.
- Assist with chemical and material handling in accordance with safety protocols.
- Collaborate with process and equipment engineering to improve tool performance and reliability.
- Support the equipment engineering department with maintenance, tool installations, retrofits, and repairs as needed.
