Electrical Engineer – Contract Role (Fremont, CA)

Location: Fremont, CA (Bay Area candidates only)

Duration: 2 Years

Pay Range: $45.00 – $93.00 per hour (based on experience)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our product development team for a long-term contract assignment. This role involves system-level electrical design
, troubleshooting, and collaboration across engineering disciplines to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and modify I/O and power cables
  , PCBs
  , and related components
• Identify and test replacements for obsolete or end-of-life components
• Troubleshoot and resolve field issues; drive corrective actions
• Conduct design reviews and validate electrical drawings/schematics
• Collaborate with mechanical and software engineers on design challenges
• Manage Bill of Materials (BOM) for new and updated parts

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
• Strong experience in large-scale system-level design
• Hands-on experience with:
• Cable and harness design
• RS232, Ethernet, Ether
  
  CAT bus
• Familiarity with Safety Certification (S22) preferred
• Proficiency in OrCAD or similar schematic capture tools
• Experience with BOM management software and MS Office
• Knowledge of SAP / PLM systems
