Mechanical Engineer, Engineering Design & Technologists
Revolutionizing industrial mobility through electrification and megawatt charging solutions
DIMAAG has had significant success in enabling our OEM partners to develop electric vehicles which they can take to market. DIMAAG is a Tier 1 supplier of electric vehicle components (High power fixed/swappable battery modules, motors, and power electronics). We design electrified off-highway vehicles which utilize our core technology to deliver solutions which meet standard jobsite and operator requirements.
However, we’re still a startup. This role will certainly include some responsibilities outside what’s described in this job description, but that’s the nature of the job. Some candidates will find this to be a fulfilling opportunity to gain a very wide breadth of technical experience, while others may prefer the consistency of a standard mechanical engineering design role that other companies provide.
We work fast and iterate quickly, and expect our engineers to do the same.
We seek a mechanical engineer with design experience, who can work on end-to-end product development of mechanical and electromechanical systems. To be a strong candidate for this position, you should be an eager learner with experience designing and manufacturing mechanical systems with consideration of environmental requirements. This position expects you to be able to work in both an individual contributor and a team leader role.
Key Responsibilities- Apply principles of mechanics, hydraulics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer to design vehicle sub-systems and validate their performance.
- Create innovative and robust mechanical structural designs to package electric vehicle components, and support higher-level integration requirements.
- Develop peripheral electromechanical and thermal management systems to support electric vehicle performance requirements.
- Present design concepts, test data, and project status to management and team members.
- Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of work experience.
- Experience designing mechanical structures for prototyping and production.
- Practical experience using CAD modeling software (preferably Solid Works).
- Hands‑on fabrication and assembly of mechanical/electromechanical components.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Experience developing system architectures to meet performance requirements.
- Experience developing engineering drawings and documentation (GD&T preferred).
- Experience coordinating component production with manufacturers.
- Familiarity with simulation tools to perform FEA.
- Employee ownership through ESOP.
- Exceptional medical, dental, and vision coverage.
- 401(k) plan.
- Fitness reimbursement.
- Company sponsored lunches.
