Role Summary

Our client, a higher education institution offering nursing programs, is seeking a Campus Dean, BSN Program. This role is responsible for the overall leadership, supervision, planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program at a designated campus. The Campus Dean ensures academic quality, regulatory compliance, faculty and student support, and effective partnerships with clinical and community stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Provide overall leadership and operational oversight of the BSN/RN nursing program.

Plan, develop, manage, update, and evaluate all aspects of the nursing program, including:

  • Program budget
  • Faculty and staff supervision
  • Clinical site partnerships and liaison activities
  • Curriculum development and implementation
  • Compliance with state Board of Nursing rules and regulations, including site visits
  • Student advocacy and academic support
  • Program policies and procedures
  • Faculty and student handbooks
  • Supplies and equipment necessary to meet program objectives

Prepare and submit required reports, proposals, self‑studies, surveys, and documentation for state and Board of Nursing requirements.

Ensure student and faculty records are properly initiated, maintained, and compliant with academic and regulatory standards; coordinate with Human Resources to maintain documentation of faculty and staff qualifications.

Identify and secure external resources to support program objectives.

Organize, chair, and participate in program and advisory committees.

Oversee admissions processes, orientation, and recruitment of qualified nursing students.

Develop articulation agreements with regional colleges and universities regarding course equivalencies.

Serve as liaison between the nursing program, the institution, clinical partners, and the broader community.

Develop, maintain, and evaluate educational partnerships and contracts with clinical sites.

Conduct or delegate clinical site evaluations to assess safety, risk, staffing, and the ability to meet clinical learning objectives.

Coordinate with clinical faculty and site representatives to confirm student placements, faculty assignments, schedules, rotations, and objectives; ensure required Board approvals are completed prior to clinical rotations.

Ensure completion and review of evaluations from students, faculty, and clinical partners following clinical rotations; provide summary reports to senior academic leadership and advisory committees.

Maintain records and minutes of inter‑agency and faculty meetings.

Participate in faculty recruitment, hiring, onboarding, evaluation, and ongoing professional development.

Monitor instructional quality and participate in faculty review, program evaluation, and strategic planning initiatives.

Support conflict resolution involving faculty and students.

Advise and support nursing students, including degree planning, academic progress, appeals, grievances, graduation requirements, and licensure preparation.

Track and report student performance metrics, including program outcomes, NCLEX pass rates, and graduate employment outcomes.

Represent nursing interests across institutional departments such as counseling, registration, and financial aid.

Maintain professional association memberships and engage in relevant professional activities.

Perform additional duties as needed to support program consistency and student success.

Required Qualifications
  • MSN and DNP completed.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a comparable leadership role managing a BSN nursing program.
  • At least two (2) years of teaching experience in pre‑licensure or post‑licensure nursing programs.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care and/or equivalent experience as determined by the applicable Board of Nursing.
  • Master’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university with coursework in nursing, education, or administration.
  • Current RN license in the state where the campus is located, or ability to obtain licensure.
