BASIS Independent Schools, a subsidiary of Spring Education Group, is a national network of PreK-12 private, secular schools. BASIS Independent Fremont Upper is seeking qualified candidates for a French Teacher for Middle and High School for the upcoming school year.

• Salary: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00

• Teach higher level content than grade standard in an interactive learning environment to deliver exceptional results for all students.
• Demonstrate deep knowledge of the subject taught.
• Instruct students in content-specific knowledge and skills to heighten the trajectory of their academic and career success.
• Implement the BASIS Curriculum by designing effective and creative lessons and assessments to educate students at an internationally competitive level.
• Collaborate with other BASIS Curriculum Teachers to form a professional, collaborative community.
• Guide student behavior to foster academic achievement, personal responsibility, intellect and individuality in all students.

• Deep knowledge of and passion for the subject taught
• Ability to differentiate instruction and engage students in rigorous content
• Ability to create a positive classroom community and build relationships with students
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with students, colleagues, and parents
• Open to feedback and continuous growth
• Creative in instructional and classroom management strategies (high warmth and high firmness)

• Strong work ethic and a “do whatever it takes” mindset

• Minimum:
  Bachelor’s degree in the subject area; coursework or education experience not required; ability to obtain fingerprint clearance card.
• Preferred:
  Master’s or Ph.D. in subject matter; strong communication skills; high GPA in major; strong recommendations; experience with children; openness to new teaching ideas.
