Plastic Surgery Opening in with Kaiser Permanente

Leading the future of health care

Fremont/San Leandro, California

We are seeking a BE/BC Plastic Surgeon to join our group of three physicians. Our practice offers a diverse and well-balanced mix of reconstructive and cosmetic surgery, with a high volume of elective breast surgery, breast reconstruction, gender-affirming top surgery, and body contouring procedures.

All current partners are fellowship-trained microsurgeons. While the ideal candidate should be comfortable evaluating and rounding on free flap patients, performance of microsurgery is not expected unless the candidate has completed fellowship training. Our practice supports a robust microsurgical breast reconstruction program, including lymphatic reconstruction, with dedicated operating room block time and an experienced microsurgical support team.

Call responsibilities are shared evenly among all plastic surgeons and include general plastic surgery consultations, mild to moderate burn care, and reconstructive referrals from our surgical colleagues. We do not take hand call and are not a designated trauma center, allowing for a predictable and sustainable call experience.

Our East Bay practice serves both the Kaiser Permanente San Leandro and Fremont campuses, with clinic and operating privileges at each location. All surgical cases are supported by skilled PAs serving as first assists and/or a second attending surgeon when indicated.

Key benefits of this position include the opportunity to maintain a comprehensive reconstructive and cosmetic practice, freedom from billing and patient recruitment responsibilities, the option to participate in medical student education, and the chance to work within a close-knit, collaborative group. Centrally located in the Bay Area, the practice offers access to a wide range of desirable cities and neighborhoods in which to live.

This position represents an outstanding opportunity to build a rewarding and balanced plastic surgery career within a supportive, high-quality, and forward-thinking practice.

Full-time annual salary range is $460,020 to $485,040 plus additional potential incentives up to $101,340*. Reduced schedules with pro-rated compensation may be available.
* Some incentive opportunities are estimates based on potential premium pay.
