Sales Director ESS- South America

• Build a functional team specialized in marketing and sales while interfacing with technical personnel internally and externally.
• Develop and implement best practices for small to large BESS projects across all product lines, including residential, commercial, industrial, utility-scale, and UPS.
• Act as a domain expert on BESS, collaborate with ESS-related parties, review and challenge financial considerations, and approve optimal project solutions.
• Develop metrics and targets for continuous improvement in project delivery.
• Establish methods for tracking construction progress, acquisition opportunities, and new market identification; present status reports to the global team.
• Participate in industry conferences, networking committees, and maintain awareness of trends in the competitive market.
• Develop relationships with key technology vendors in the battery energy storage industry, engaging with procurement, construction, and EPC activities.
• Negotiate contracts with key customers, partners, vendors, consultants, and installation subcontractors to strengthen Gotion’s ESS competitive position globally.

• 5+ years of experience in Business Development
• B.A. in Finance, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred)
• 2+ years in the energy sector, specifically ESS
• Excellent communication and networking skills
• Experience working in a startup or similar environment
• Global experience and an understanding of multicultural nuances that drive decision-making
• Base in South America and Fremont, CA

Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range appropriate to skills, qualifications, experience, and location. The base pay range for this role is shown below.

Expected Pay Range

$130,000 - $180,000 USD
