The 034
Motorsport Engineering Department is growing rapidly, and the team is in need of a dedicated Automotive Technician with a focused effort on enhancing and maintaining our fleet of R&D test vehicles and support vehicles.
The responsibilities of the Engineering Automotive Technician include, but are not limited to:
- Product Development Support
: removal of OEM components to allow the Engineering team to perform 3‑D scanning and measurements for new products, installation of prototype performance products to verify fitment and performance testing, and capturing installation insights to provide final instructions. - Dynamometer Vehicle Testing
: loading test vehicles onto the dyno, striking and unstrapping them, maintaining the dyno room appearance and tidiness, and supporting ECU/TCU calibration and performance analysis. - Track Testing
: preparing R&D vehicles for circuit and drag‑strip testing, loading the transport truck and trailer, driving the truck to testing events, and maintaining vehicles at the track (fueling, servicing brakes, mechanical maintenance). Returning vehicles to street specifications afterward. - Fleet Maintenance
: recording normal maintenance actions for all vehicles, advising the engineering team on upcoming maintenance, and inspecting vehicles for abnormalities that require technician attention. - General Service Support
: assisting the Service Department on booked service jobs when not needed for Engineering, including routine maintenance, repairs, and performance work.
