7p-7a and every other weekend

Common diagnoses:
Sepsis, General Medical, General Surgical, Stroke (TNK), DKA, PNA, ETOH withdrawal. Post cath recovery- radial/femoral sites. No CVOR. No CRRT, abdominal surgical. In the rare case there is a balloon pump, core staff would take. ICU RNs run codes in the facility. In the event of a code- the other ICU nurses cover. They also have tele attached to the unit and those nurses can assist in backing up while the code nurse is out.

Unit is primarily primary care nursing.
