• Position: Travel Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) / Telemetry RN / Travel Nurse
• Location: Freeport, IL 61032 (Northwest Illinois, Stephenson County)
• Setting: Acute Care – Cardiac Telemetry Unit (18 beds)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (March 1, 2026 – May 31, 2026)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,130 – $2,250 (competitive travel nurse pay)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM); every other weekend required
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Holiday Requirement: Holiday rotation
• Orientation: 2 x 12-hour department-specific shifts
• Charting System: MEDITECH EMR
• Floating: May float to ICU, Med/Surg, or ER for patients within RN scope

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license (required to submit)
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (required)
• Minimum 2+ years recent acute care/telemetry RN experience highly preferred
• Experience with cardiac drips and titrations (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Dopamine, Heparin titration)
• Cath lab post recovery and stroke care experience highly preferred
• Phlebotomy experience is a plus
• Familiarity with MEDITECH EMR preferred
• All travelers with previous employment at any FHN Memorial location must disclose it on resume or submission

• Provide patient-centered telemetry nursing care for cardiac and acute patients (CHF, ACS, CAD, arrhythmias, stroke, post–heart cath)
• Continuously monitor and accurately interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry strips; collaborate with monitor techs and providers
• Safely administer and manage cardiac medications and continuous infusions
• Perform focused assessments, recognize clinical deterioration, and escalate care appropriately
• Coordinate interdisciplinary care, support safe transitions, and participate in discharge planning
• Float to ICU, Med/Surg, or ER as needed within RN scope and competency
• Document thoroughly and accurately in MEDITECH EMR
• Collaborate with CNAs and support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes

• Work in a focused cardiac telemetry unit with experienced interdisciplinary teams
