FHN is seeking an experienced, skilled, and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing Cardiology team. This is a unique opportunity to provide comprehensive heart care through a blend of outpatient clinic services and inpatient hospital rounding.
As a Cardiology NP/PA at FHN, you will play a critical role in the heart health of our community. Working in a collaborative environment with our physicians, you will provide continuity of care for a patient population that relies on local, high-quality cardiology services.

Enjoy a collaborative practice environment that encourages clinical autonomy in managing your patient panel while having immediate access to physician support when needed. - Dual-Setting Practice: Enjoy a dynamic workflow that includes seeing consults and follow-ups in the office as well as rounding on patients at FHN Memorial Hospital.
- Work-Life Balance: This position offers a highly desirable schedule with no weekend call. The call schedule consists of 1st call only two nights per week.
- Robust Support Team: You will practice in a supportive environment backed by a full team, including an Operations Team Lead, Receptionists, and a clinical mix of RNs, LPNs, and Medical Assistants.
- Well-Equipped Facilities: The practice features 8 exam rooms, a dedicated pacemaker room, and on-site diagnostics including 2 EKG machines and 2 Dopplers.
- Department Growth: Join a department that is actively addressing the strong need for cardiology services in our community, with plans for continued development and expansion.
- Clinical Volume: Manage an average of 16 office patients per day.

Skills:
Utilization of our specialized facilities to assist with pacemaker evaluations and the supervision of cardiac stress tests. - Patient
Education:
Champion the reduction of hospital readmissions by providing extensive patient education on heart failure management, lifestyle modifications, and medication adherence. - Patient Care: Focus on a patient population that is approximately 75% Medicare, allowing you to make a significant impact on the geriatric health of the region.
- Triage & Workflow: Benefit from an established workflow where referrals are triaged by nurses to ensure patients are directed to the appropriate provider.
- Current Nurse Practitioner (NP) licensure.
- Current Illinois license or eligibility to obtain one.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Experience in Cardiology preferred (or a strong desire to specialize).
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based care model.
- Compensation Range: $124,257 - $160,593. Salary based on experience and qualifications.
