Behavioral Health Clinician – IOP

We are looking for a dedicated clinician to help deliver hope and recovery.
Position SummaryProvide mental health rehabilitation and supports to children, adults, and families to decrease hospitalization and crisis episodes while increasing community functioning. Work ethically, legally, and morally in a safe therapeutic environment and participate as a team member in the delivery of mental health services and coordination of recovery into daily life.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling & Guidance, Rehabilitation Counseling, Vocational Counseling, Pastoral Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field.
- MHP qualification per Illinois Department of Mental Health Rule 132 (LPHA preferred).
- Illinois Certified Addiction Counselor (CADC) or a superseding licensure.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Computer proficiency, including navigation of the electronic health record.
- Ability to complete documentation within prescribed time frames.
- Skilled in conducting individual, family, and group counseling.
- Ability to present and coordinate lectures for clients, parents, staff, or community resources.
- Self‑starter who can work independently and within a team.
- Valid driver’s license and own transportation; must meet agency insurance requirements.
- Belief in Rosecrance’s mission and vision.
- Adhere to prescribed work hours and any additional hours as required.
- Motivate and problem‑solve with staff regarding effective clinical practices.
- Adapt verbal and written communication to the client’s language and style.
- Complete all necessary documentation within appropriate timelines.
- Undertake primary case management for designated clients.
- Conduct individual, group, and family counseling and educational sessions.
- Maintain client service records per rules and regulations.
- Coordinate services across community resources.
- Utilize evidence‑based practices and service modalities in care delivery.
- Present workshops, lectures, and training to clients, families, staff, and community groups.
- Be familiar with court proceedings and attend court appearances on behalf of clients.
- Participate in on‑call rotation as required.
- Represent the agency as a role model and maintain confidentiality and ethical standards.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and assume other related duties as delegated.
- Hours:
Monday – Friday 12:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. - Shift: 2nd Shift
Rosecrance Stephenson Office – Freeport, IL (Onsite)
Compensation & RewardsStarting Pay: $57,761.60 /year (based on master’s level education). Additional pay for licensed staff.
- Professional Certification (CADC, CRSS, CPS): +$0.72 /hour ($1,500 annualized)
- 1st Level Clinical Licensure (LPC/LSW/LMSW): +$0.87 /hour ($1,800 annualized)
- 2nd Level Clinical Licensure (LCPC/LCSW/LMHC): +$2.16 /hour ($4,500 annualized)
