Partner Plus is proud to be retained by a global specialty chemicals and industrial solutions organization to appoint a Process Engineer II at one of its key manufacturing sites in Freeport, TX.

Reporting to the Technical Superintendent, the Process Engineer II will split time between the office and the plant, providing hands‑on technical support to operations, quality, and maintenance teams. You will lead process improvements, support new product introductions, and manage small capital projects, playing a key role in improving plant performance, safety, and efficiency.
This role suits a proactive, plant‑focused engineer who enjoys problem‑solving, project ownership, and working closely with cross‑functional teams.

Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Process Engineer in a chemical manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of plant operations and process safety
- Legal authorisation to work in the U.S. (no immigration sponsorship available)
Preferred:
- Advanced technical degree
- 5 years’ experience in a batch chemical manufacturing environment
- Ability to interpret PFDs, P&IDs, isometrics, electrical and loop diagrams
- Knowledge of Safety, Health, and Environmental regulations
- Experience with data analysis and visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI)
- Project and contractor management experience
- Strong working knowledge of MOC processes
- Analytical, detail‑oriented, and solutions‑focused
- Highly organised with strong time management skills
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence across functions
- Proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a plant‑based team
