We are partnering with a leading provider of high-quality garage doors and related services. They specialize in both commercial and residential garage door installation, repair, and maintenance. We are seeking a skilled Garage Door Mechanic to join a growing team. This position involves working on both commercial and residential garage doors, providing expert installation, maintenance, and repair services in the service area which is a 3-hour radius from North New Jersey. The ideal candidate must have experience working with commercial garage doors or docks and will have strong mechanical knowledge.

Aback ground in welding and low voltage is preferred. Individuals with military or automotive mechanic backgrounds are encouraged to apply, as these experiences align well with the skills required for this position.

• Install, repair, and maintain commercial garage doors and openers.
• Perform fabrication tasks as needed for custom door installations.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues, providing timely and effective solutions.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety protocols and quality standards.
• Provide excellent customer service, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
• Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates on job status and estimated timelines.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay up-to-date with industry standards and techniques.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in a clean and functional condition.

• 5-years experience with commercial garage doors.
• Experience in welding, low voltage and mechanical work is preferred.
• Military service or automotive mechanic experience is highly preferred - this experience is transferable.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.

• Hourly pay range: $40 - $50/hour (rate DOE).
