Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking Seasonal Agricultural Workers – Adelphia (Freehold) for the Adelphia Research Farm. This position reports to and takes direction from the Research Farm Manager or Field Researcher III.
- Maintains turfgrass research areas and other research experiments on the farm.
- Assists in the maintenance and repairing of all research farm facilities including, but not limited to, turf research and farm equipment.
- Assists in the preparation of the research farm for field days, educational programs or public programs that are held at the facility.
- Performs additional research farm duties as directed.

Salary Details$18 - $25.00 per hour

QualificationsMinimum Education and Experience
- High school/vocational school education or equivalent experience.
- A valid driver’s license would be required for this position.
- Ability to work independently once trained in farm operations and conscientiously complete all assigned work.
- Involves experience with/or will train successful applicant in the operation of tillage and/or professional mowing equipment, as well as executing fertilization and irrigation applications as requested by the research project leaders.
- Turf and/or farm equipment.
- Ability to work in hot, humid and dusty conditions and lift 50 pounds.
- Work week schedule is typically 7:30 a.m./8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m./4:30 p.m.
