Atlantic Health is Seeking a Per Diem Nurse Practitioner for Pulmonary Critical Care in Freehold, NJ

Atlantic Health, one of New Jersey's largest non-profit healthcare networks, is seeking a Per Diem Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join the Centra State Pulmonology Critical Care team at Centra State Medical Center in Freehold, New Jersey. The team includes five pulmonologists, seven nurse practitioners, and dedicated support staff serving the 16-bed Intensive Care Unit at Centra State Health System.

The Per Diem NP will be required to work at least two shifts per month, with the opportunity for more shifts as needed. The Nurse Practitioner will work closely with the pulmonology team to deliver immediate, high-quality care to ICU patients. Key responsibilities include managing the critical care unit in collaboration with attending, writing consult and follow up notes, and procedures such as central line, arterial line, and HD catheters.

Additional procedures such as intubation, thoracentesis, paracentesis, intubation, chest tube, LP are preferred but not mandatory.

• Graduate from an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program
• Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey
• ACLS and BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of Critical Care experience
• Must have excellent communication and computer skills
• Strong work ethic and a team player who can work independently
