Overview

Atlantic Health is seeking a Per Diem Nurse Practitioner for Pulmonary Critical Care in Freehold, NJ. The NP will join the Centra State Pulmonology Critical Care team at Centra State Medical Center in Freehold, New Jersey. The team includes five pulmonologists, seven nurse practitioners, and dedicated support staff serving the 16-bed Intensive Care Unit at Centra State Health System.

The Per Diem NP will be required to work at least two shifts per month, with the opportunity for more shifts as needed. The Nurse Practitioner will work closely with the pulmonology team to deliver immediate, high-quality care to ICU patients.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with attending physicians to manage the critical care unit and ICU patients
• Write consult and follow-up notes
• Perform procedures such as central line, arterial line, and hemodialysis catheter placement
• Preferred but not mandatory: intubation, thoracentesis, paracentesis, chest tube insertion, lumbar puncture (LP)

• Graduate from an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program
• Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey
• ACLS and BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of Critical Care experience
• Excellent communication and computer skills
• Strong work ethic and a team player who can work independently
