Role Mechanic (Maintenance Technician)

Shifts 2 Openings – Saturday availability required. 1st shift: 7:30am–4:00pm; 3rd shift: 11:30pm–8:00am.

Our Freehold, NJ plant is looking for a self-motivated, reliable, and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to be part of our growing team. We value initiative, reliability, safety, quality, production, and teamwork. If you are this person, we encourage you to apply.

• Sets up production equipment to run scheduled production.
• Discusses difficulties in operating equipment with machine operators to isolate problems and then troubleshoots the machine to determine cause and repairs required.
• Reads and follows technical manuals and documents changes to set up lines and adjust machines and conveyors as needed.
• Performs necessary repairs on equipment to keep it in top running order.
• Conducts major mechanical overhauls of some packaging equipment.
• Carries out required preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Assists in determining required design modifications and makes approved modifications to equipment.
• Performs tasks in accordance with approved procedures and following all safety procedures and GMPs.
• Provides coverage for mechanics on other shifts, as needed.
• Works with minimal supervision as well as in a team setting.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Minimum 4 years mechanical experience in a high-speed packaging and/or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to stand and walk for periods of time.
• Able to work scheduled overtime or shift changes when required.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds periodically throughout the shift and meet physical requirements including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, reaching with both arms, and visual inspection of product.
• Basic math skills.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).

Pay Range: $30–$37 per hour depending on experience. Medical, Dental, Vision insurance eligible 1st of month after 30 days. Other benefits eligible after 90 days of employment.
