, in their search for an experienced Collections Paralegal
. This full-time, onsite, direct hire opportunity is ideal for a legal professional with a background in creditor rights, collections, or litigation who is looking to join a dynamic legal team in a stable, long-term role.
Salary: $60,/year
, commensurate with experience
- Draft and file pleadings, motions, and legal correspondence for collection matters
- Prepare and send demand letters and post-judgment documentation
- Track case deadlines, hearings, and court appearances
- Communicate with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and debtors
- Conduct asset research and support judgment enforcement procedures
- Maintain organized and up-to-date case files and databases
- Assist attorneys with litigation preparation and strategy
- 2+ years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in collections or litigation
- Paralegal Certificate or degree in Legal Studies
- Strong knowledge of NJ state court procedures related to debt collection
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a high-volume legal environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal practice management software
- Ability to thrive in both independent and collaborative settings within a fast-paced team environment
- Familiarity with foreclosure, bankruptcy, and enforcement actions
- Experience with electronic court filing systems (eCourts, e-Filing)
