Job Description

Infosys is seeking a Data Scientist / Gen AI Lead Consultant with experience in Generative AI, Agentic AI, Machine Learning, AI, and Python. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in end‑to‑end implementation of Gen AI and Agentic AI solutions, fine‑tuning large language models, and deploying machine‑learning models to production. The role will collaborate with clients to align solutions with data strategies across multiple technologies and platforms.

• Bachelor’s Degree or foreign equivalent; or three years of progressive experience in lieu of each year of education.
• At least 7 years of Information Technology experience.
• At least 4 years of hands‑on Gen AI / Agentic AI and data science with machine learning.
• Strong proficiency in Python programming.
• Experience deploying Gen AI applications with an Agent Framework such as Langgraph, Autogen, or Crew AI.
• Experience deploying Gen AI stack/services on AWS, GCP, Azure, or IBM Watson.
• Experience with Generative AI, multiple large language models, and advanced RAG solutions.
• Experience processing/ingesting unstructured data from PDFs, HTML, images, audio to text, etc.
• Experience with data gathering, data quality, system architecture, and coding best practices.
• Hands‑on experience with vector databases such as FAISS, Pinecone, Weaviate, or Azure AI Search.
• Experience with Lean / Agile development methodologies.
• Potential for travel and close coordination with offshore teams.

• Proficiency in building RESTful APIs using FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Experience with model evaluation tools like Deep Eval, FMeval, RAGAS, Bedrock model evaluation.
• Experience with perception (e.g., computer vision) and time series data (e.g., text analysis).
• Big Data experience (HDFS, Hive, Spark, Scala) strongly preferred.
• Data visualization tools such as Tableau and query languages such as SQL, Hive.
• Strong applied statistics skills (distributions, testing, regression, etc.).

The job requires sitting and working at a computer for extended periods and involves communication by telephone, email, or face‑to‑face. Travel may be required as per job requirements.

The estimated annual compensation range for selected locations is:

Denver, CO: $94,000 to $164,500.
