A growing and innovative organization within the food & beverage ingredients industry is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join its team in Totowa, NJ. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of operations, sales support, and client experience within a fast-paced, global supply environment.
Position OverviewThe Customer Service Representative will serve as a key point of contact for customers, managing orders from entry through fulfillment while ensuring a seamless client experience. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with sales, logistics, quality, and accounting teams.
Key Responsibilities- Process and manage customer orders from receipt through shipment and delivery
- Serve as the primary contact for customer inquiries regarding order status, product availability, pricing, and documentation
- Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate shipments
- Prepare and manage required documentation (invoices, shipping documents, certificates, etc.)
- Partner with Sales to support account management and maintain strong customer relationships
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate potential supply issues proactively
- Resolve customer concerns efficiently while maintaining a high level of professionalism
- Maintain accurate records within ERP/CRM systems
- 4+ years of customer service or order management experience (food & beverage, ingredients, or manufacturing industry preferred)
- Strong understanding of supply chain, logistics, or distribution processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ERP system experience is a plus
