Airline Service Agents work under the direction of the Station Leadership to ensure all aspects of aircraft handling are completed safely according to specific company policies & procedures. Safety, attention to detail, following company procedures, and team work are key components to being a successful Airline Service Agent. The ideal candidate must possess verbal & written communication skills, be energetic, outgoing, understanding and accepting of change.

* Provide quality customer service to a variety of customers including: travelling

passengers, corporate customers, and other internal and external groups.

* Answer phones/emails, give out fare & schedule info, take & create reservations, etc.

* Filing, handling cash and preparing cash reports.

* Greeting flights, making announcements (boarding calls, paging passengers).

* Work through flight IROPs as required.

* Work through flight baggage issues as required.

* Assist with baggage handling (bag jams/bag room congestion) and deliveries as required.

* Perform Turn, RON and Ad-Hoc flight requirements as needed.

* Provide cabin cleaning as needed, per carrier specifications.

* Load catering/commissary/ice as required.

* Sort, load, unload baggage and cargo from flights.

* Service lavatories and potable water per company standards.

* Connect, disconnect ground power/bridge power from Aircraft.

* Marshall aircraft to and from gate, parking stands.

* Wing walk arrivals and departures.

* Operate belt loaders, baggage tractors and carts.

* Complete aircraft grooming/cleaning.

* Complete daily inspection of operating equipment.

* Complete equipment deficiency reports as required.

* Snow removal, equipment cleaning, housekeeping as required.

* Perform aircraft deicing as required.

* Perform deice trucking filling and bulk glycol deliveries as required.

* Attend all required training sessions and successfully complete training courses.

* Actively participate in company safety programs.

* Work as a team member in a safe, efficient, professional manner.

* Adhere to published uniform standards and requirements.

* Follow all safety guidelines and safe workplace procedures.

* Take direction from leads/supervisors and Coordinator/Manager.

* Complete customer baggage and/or cargo deliveries as required.

* Other duties as assigned by management.

Must be able to apply and secure an Airport Restricted Area Pass (RAIC).

Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Must have valid driver’s license

Must obtain a clean criminal records check.

Ability to speak, write and understand the English language.

Previous airline and/or freight handling experience would be an asset.

Must have excellent team player competencies.

Must be willing to adapt to the changing nature of aviation.

Must be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

$125.00 per year Protective Footwear Allowance.

PPE required is provided to employee.

Returnable deposit on all Uniform Pieces.

Paid Training.

This position is represented by a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
