What You’ll DoAs a Software Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, development, and delivery of cutting‑edge B2B SaaS solutions hosted on AWS. You’ll join a collaborative, high‑performing engineering team, contributing to medium‑complexity solutions while continuously expanding your technical expertise.
This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that the successful candidate will be based in or near Fredericton or Saint John, New Brunswick, and work from the office on an as‑needed basis.
Key responsibilities include:- Design, build, and maintain medium‑complexity solutions within your team’s domain, collaborating with senior engineers for architectural guidance.
- Develop high‑quality, secure, production‑ready software within your primary technical platform.
- Contribute to both manual and automated testing plans, participate in code reviews, and uphold engineering best practices to ensure high‑quality releases.
- Collaborate closely with cross‑functional partners across product and design to bridge technical implementation with business objectives.
- Participate in data‑driven decision‑making and continuous improvement initiatives within your team.
- Explore and implement emerging technologies to enhance product capabilities and maintain a competitive edge.
- Continuously expand your knowledge of programming languages, frameworks, and tools, applying new learnings to team practices and processes.
- Support and mentor junior team members while contributing to a strong, collaborative engineering culture.
- Experience in back‑end web development.
- Desire to work in Ruby on Rails and learn additional languages as required.
- Experience with source control tools such as Git.
- Exposure to Agile development methodologies is considered an asset.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment to remove blockers and deliver against realistic commitments.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate ideas within the team and to stakeholders.
- A continuous learning mindset with a drive to grow both individually and as part of a team.
- Experience with Snowflake, Airflow, and DBT.
- Experience developing LLM‑powered applications using Langchain.
- Experience with frontend development in React.
- Familiarity with AI coding agents such as Claude Code.
