About The Role

As an Alimak Raise Miner at Dumas, you will operate Alimak raise climbers to develop vertical or inclined raises safely and efficiently. This role involves drilling, blasting, installing ground support, and maintaining equipment in challenging underground conditions.

• Operate Alimak raise climber to drill and blast raises according to the mine plan.
• Install ground support (bolts, mesh, screen) in raises and maintain safe work areas.
• Perform scaling and ensure workplace safety before and after blasting.
• Conduct pre‑operational inspections and routine maintenance on Alimak equipment.
• Maintain accurate drilling and blasting logs.
• Ensure compliance with Dumas and site‑specific safety protocols and environmental regulations.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to meet all targets.
• Participate in workplace inspections and hazard assessments.

• Underground Hard Rock Mining Common Core with Specialty Module U0020 (Operate Raise Climber) or equivalent.
• Minimum 2–3 years’ experience operating Alimak raise climbers in underground mining.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently.
• Excellent safety record and ability to work in confined spaces.
