As a member of the inside sales team, you play a key application engineering and technical quoting role, supporting the sales organization by translating customer process requirements into accurate, competitive solutions. Your primary focus will be quoting control valves and measurement instrumentation, providing technical expertise throughout the sales cycle—from initial inquiry through proposal and handoff to execution. You are responsible for driving revenue growth by delivering technically sound solutions while providing exceptional customer service and support.
This is not a traditional sales role and not a back‑office engineering position. You will apply real engineering judgment while gaining direct exposure to customer strategy, commercial decision‑making, and how technical solutions create business value. The role is ideal for technically strong individuals who enjoy problem‑solving, customer interaction, and understanding how engineering decisions influence cost, risk, and long‑term customer outcomes.
You will work across a wide range of valve and instrumentation applications, supported by experienced technical specialists, while being trusted with meaningful ownership early.
What You Bring To The Table
Technical Expertise
Develop customized solutions by mapping customer requirements to product capabilities, with a primary focus on control valves and measurement instrumentation.
Review specifications, datasheets, and process conditions to support accurate application, sizing, and quotation.
Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of the company's technical products and services.
Respond to technical and application questions with clear, accurate guidance.
Propose, design, and present technical solutions that meet both business and technical requirements.
Relationship Building
Establish and maintain strong working relationships with key customer stakeholders, including engineers, technical decision‑makers, and project managers.
Collaborate with the sales team to create compelling sales proposals, technical documentation, and quotations that accurately represent the solution, pricing, and implementation timeline.
Provide technical support during project execution to ensure a smooth transition from quote to order fulfillment.
Sales Support and Strategy
Partner closely with account managers to understand customer needs, develop technical sales strategies, and support opportunities throughout the sales cycle.
Gather and analyze customer pain points, process challenges, and application requirements to recommend effective solutions.
Maintain a well‑organized sales pipeline, documenting leads, opportunities, and follow‑up activities in the CRM.
Essential Skills And Qualifications To Be Successful
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or diploma in Engineering Technology.
Strong aptitude for learning and applying new technologies and products.
Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Ability to cultivate lasting business relationships.
Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
High energy, initiative, and willingness to take on new challenges.
Strong communication skills.
