About PicketaPicketa Systems is building the future of agronomy with the LENS, a real-time crop tissue analysis tool designed to help agronomists make confident, scalable nutrient decisions. We work with independent consultants, ag retailers, co-ops, and enterprise networks across North America.
We are entering a critical growth phase and are looking for an Account Executive to help convert strong inbound demand into revenue.

Hybrid (mostly remote) within Canada; periodic in-person collaboration and customer visits as needed

As an Account Executive, your job is simple to describe and demanding to execute: turn qualified inbound opportunities into closed customers.
You’ll own deals from the first sales conversation through commitment, partnering closely with the VP of Sales and technical leadership to run a disciplined, consultative sales process. You won’t be responsible for long-term account management or support; your focus is on closing new business and handing customers off cleanly.
What You’ll Do- Own inbound SQLs and manage them through the full sales cycle to close
- Run discovery and solution-alignment calls with agronomists and ag retail leaders
- Diagnose fit, urgency, and buying process — and qualify accordingly
- Present pilot programs and commercial proposals aligned to customer workflows
- Drive deals toward clear decisions (yes / no / later), not indefinite stalls
- Coordinate internally to ensure proposals are accurate and executable
- Maintain clean CRM hygiene and predictable pipeline visibility
- Partner with leadership on deal strategy, pricing, and escalation when needed
- Represent Picketa with credibility and professionalism in customer-facing conversations
- Consistent closed-won revenue from inbound demand
- Clear forecasting and visible deal progression
- Shortened time-to-decision across your pipeline
- High-quality customers handed off cleanly post-close
- 3–5 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in consultative or solution selling
- Comfortable selling into technical, operations-driven buyers
- Able to ask for commitment and navigate buying committees
- Organized, disciplined, and confident running multiple deals at once
- Curious, coachable, and motivated to improve your craft
- Interest in agriculture or agtech strongly preferred
Competitive base salary plus variable compensation (OTE) in the low six figures, commensurate with experience
Performance-based commission tied to closed-won revenue from inbound pipeline
