Position Title: Student – Soil Carbon - Research Affiliate Program
Work Location: Fredericton (New Brunswick)
Salary Range: $18.84 to $38.38 per hour - Bachelor’s $18.84 to $28.30, Masters $25.17 to $31.69, PhD $29.64 to $38.38. Varies as per the level of education and experience.

Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) is looking for a Student – Soil Carbon to join our team in Fredericton, New Brunswick.
Who are we?At AAFC, we work with farmers and food producers to support the growth and development of the agriculture and agri-food sector. The impression we make can be seen from the farmer to the consumer and through all phases of producing, processing and marketing of farm, food and bio-based products.

What will you be doing?Due to the breadth of the research undertaken at the Centre, the individual will provide support and technical assistance at an Agriculture and Agri-Food Research Centre in the soil carbon team by:
- Contributing to the development of soil carbon analytical methods and evaluation techniques.
- Contributing to the development of new soil carbon techniques and methods.
- Contributing to collection and completion of soil data analysis.
- Assisting with laboratory and field support for soil research programs.
- Carries out research activities under lab and/or field conditions.
The students will initially and primarily be expected to support soil researchers. Depending on the profile and interest of the selected candidates, conducting original research might be offered.

Whatdo you need to bring to the table?
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor, Master’s or PhD program in a recognized post-secondary institution in soil science, forestry natural resources, agronomy, environmental science or other relevant discipline
- Experience
* in performing laboratory studies to analyze soil.

- contribuant à l’élab oration de méthodes d’analyse et de techniques d’évaluation du carbone dans le sol;
