We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager (Bilingual) to join our dynamic team in Fredericton, New Brunswick.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Lead the initiation of project phases, including preparation of Phase Initiation Documents, defining scope, establishing teams, and conducting kick-off meetings.
• Conduct detailed project planning, outlining development tasks, schedules, and key deliverables.
• Oversee end-to-end project delivery and management, including resource allocation, risk mitigation, issue resolution, and change control.
• Monitor and control project progress through regular status reporting, change request processing, and proactive risk and issue management.
• Analyze business challenges and design tailored solutions that align with client needs across users, processes, technology, and data.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to define project scope and requirements, develop solutions, and build executable plans, including resource estimates, timelines, and budgets.
• Apply data and analytics expertise to design and implement solutions that support clients’ strategic objectives and improve business performance.
• Facilitate discovery sessions, capture and document requirements/user stories, and work closely with technical teams to define scope and organize deliverables into sprints.
• Support project execution by preparing development-ready, well-scoped, and approved user stories, ensuring clear articulation of objectives and definition of “done”; this may involve coordination across multiple workstreams for complex initiatives.
• Manage all aspects of project delivery, including scope, requirements, resources, schedule, cost, quality, risks, and stakeholder communication to ensure successful, timely, and on-budget outcomes.
• Organize and lead key project meetings, including status updates and Steering Committee sessions, as well as Agile ceremonies.
• Provide regular updates on project status and progress to leadership and stakeholders.
• Identify potential non-technical risks and resistance points and develop targeted mitigation strategies to address concerns effectively.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• University Degree in either Business Administration or Information Technology or an equivalent combination of a college diploma (related to Business Administration and/or IT) and experience may also be considered.
• Possess a high level of proficiency in both official languages (French and English). This includes the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, in professional and technical contexts.
• 8+ years of experience in full lifecycle delivery using Agile.
• 8+ years of Project Management experience managing multiple related projects that align with the organization's strategic objectives, which included coordinating teams across projects, manage stakeholders' expectations, and facilitate communication between various stakeholder groups.
• Experience working as a Senior IT Project Manager working in IT system development and support.
• Experience working with and leading cross functional business and technical teams that include a mix of in-house and external resources and stakeholders, in both official languages French and English.
• Experience in change management activities - developing a plan outlining how the project organizational change will be managed, in both official languages French and English.
• Experience in cost estimating, resource planning, and project time management skills.
• Demonstrate knowledge of IT system concepts and how they impact business processes.
• Current Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) or PRINCE2 designation.
• Experience in life cycle delivery using Agile during the Concept, Inception, Iteration and Release phases.
CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $75,–$,. This role is a future opportunity.
