Deskside Support

Service New Brunswick (SNB) is seeking individuals to join the Technology Services Division as Deskside Support Technicians in the Saint John, Fredericton, and Moncton regions. New Brunswick is modernizing its Clinical Information Solution (CIS), a province‑wide digital health transformation initiative designed to replace multiple existing systems and paper charts in hospitals with one connected electronic health information system for the entire province.

What will you be doing?

As a member of the Client Services team, you will ensure proper computer operation so that end users can accomplish business tasks.
The primary function of these particular roles will be the set up and distribution of replacement devices for Healthcare clients.Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Determining urgency, prioritizing and scheduling problems/tasks, or escalating where necessary
• Recording, tracking, and documenting the problem‑solving process, including all decisions made and actions taken through to final resolution
• Performing hands‑on fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, implementing file backups, and configuring systems and applications
• Performing preventative maintenance, including checking and cleaning workstations, printers, and peripherals
• Testing fixes to ensure problems have been adequately resolved

What do you need to be successful?

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Successful completion of a two‑year community college program in computer technology or a related discipline
• A minimum of one (1) year of experience providing technical support in an IT environment
