Job Summary
As a Senior Account Solutions Architect, you will serve as the critical bridge between our customers, business development organization, and engineering teams. Unlike a traditional sales engineer role, the Solutions Architect role at webAI focuses less on direct sales execution and more on deeply understanding customer business requirements, translating them into actionable insights for product and engineering teams, and ensuring our solutions deliver measurable business value.
You will also mentor junior SAs and play a pivotal role in improving how we connect customer needs with technology strategy. This role is that of a generalist SA, hands-on, technical, and client-facing. It requires someone who is eager to understand complex business environments, translate customer needs into solution strategies, and help guide the delivery of scalable, future-focused capabilities. The position requires up to 25% travel to customer sites or webAI offices, depending on customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Discovery & Business Alignment:
Engage with customers and partners to uncover underlying business challenges, functional requirements, and long-term goals. Translate these insights into clear solution strategies.
Technical Strategy & Advisory:
Act as a trusted advisor to customers, positioning how our solutions align with their business objectives without heavy sales emphasis.
Solution Architecture:
Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define technical architectures, solution designs, and integration approaches tailored to customer requirements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with Product Management, Engineering, Customer Success, and Marketing to ensure customer needs are directly influencing roadmaps and go-to-market priorities.
Product Demonstrations & Proof Points:
Deliver compelling, high-quality solution demonstrations, proof-of-concept design sessions, and executive presentations aligned with business outcomes.
Partner & Ecosystem Engagement:
Work with strategic partners to co-create solutions, identify joint value propositions, and support ecosystem integration opportunities.
Proposal & Documentation Support:
Contribute to RFP responses, technical proposal content, and other customer-facing documents that require both business acumen and technical credibility.
Market & Competitive Insights:
Stay informed on emerging industry trends, evolving technologies, and competitor offerings to position our solutions effectively at both technical and business levels.
Mentorship & Leadership:
Guide and mentor junior Business Development Architects, sharing expertise in customer engagement methodologies, business discovery techniques, and solution design approaches.
Process Optimization:
Continuously improve business requirement capture methods, feedback loops between customers and engineering, and best practices for enabling scalable solution development.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
7+ years of experience in a Sales Engineering, Solutions Architect, Partner/Channel Engineering, Technical Marketing, or similar role, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity.
