Digital Health Technical Project Director

Location:

Fredericton, NB (Onsite)

Pay Rate: CAD $100/hr - CAD $110/hr

Role Summary

Seeking an experienced Digital Health Technical Project Director to lead and oversee the technical delivery of a large-scale Clinical Information System (CIS) transformation program. The role is responsible for coordinating complex technical streams, ensuring integration across clinical, business, and technology domains, and driving successful delivery of enterprise digital health initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide delivery leadership for technical work streams including IAM, applications, system integration, data migration and archiving, infrastructure and networks, biomedical systems, end-user devices, and technical architecture.
  • Oversee solution architecture, technical environments, and end-user experience readiness across the program lifecycle.
  • Manage vendors, contractors, and internal technical teams to ensure delivery of milestones, timelines, and quality outcomes.
  • Ensure alignment with governance, risk management, and compliance standards.
  • Produce executive-level reports, status updates, and risk mitigation plans.
  • Collaborate closely with clinical and business streams to support integrated program delivery.
Mandatory Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Health Informatics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 9 years of progressive leadership experience in health IT or large-scale CIS implementations.
  • Hands‑on experience with major CIS platforms (e.g., Epic, Cerner, MEDITECH).
  • Strong expertise in IAM, system integration, data migration, infrastructure design, and biomedical systems.
  • Knowledge of healthcare data standards such as HL7 and FHIR.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Preferred Experience
  • 8+ years leading technical streams for enterprise digital health or CIS transformation programs.
  • Proven ability to manage complex technical deliverables, budgets, schedules, and risks.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated leadership in building, mentoring, and guiding high-performing technical teams.
