The Senior Programmer Analyst will be responsible for supporting a large‑scale data conversion initiative involving the migration of loan data from multiple legacy systems into a Commercial Off‑The‑Shelf (COTS) solution. This role requires strong technical expertise in data conversion, analysis, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams to ensure successful delivery and deployment of the solution.
Key Responsibilities- Convert existing loan data from multiple legacy systems into a COTS solution using vendor‑supplied data loaders.
- Review previously completed project work to understand historical data conversion processes and data mappings.
- Analyze updated vendor documentation to identify required changes to existing data mappings developed prior to project suspension.
- Assess legacy system data to identify data quality issues and areas requiring cleanup.
- Lead facilitated working sessions to gather requirements, document outcomes, and achieve consensus on remaining data cleanup, configuration, and technical specifications related to data conversion.
- Identify and manage risks, issues, and conflicts arising from evolving business requirements.
- Maintain a working knowledge of the COTS loan management solution.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to define and implement an approach for archiving legacy data that will not be migrated.
- Work closely with Quality Assurance teams to ensure successful testing and validation of data conversion results.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including internal departments and external vendors, to ensure project milestones and deadlines are met.
- Support the deployment of the solution into the production environment.
- Participate in project status meetings and other working group sessions as required.
- Extensive experience in data conversion and system integration projects.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to data accuracy and quality.
- Experience working with COTS solutions and vendor‑provided tools.
- Proven ability to lead workshops and facilitate consensus among technical and business stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Experience working in complex, multi‑stakeholder environments.
