Course Overview

An introduction to atoms and molecules, chemical equations and reactions, the periodic table, the electronic structure of atoms, and chemical bonding, as well as an introduction to organic chemistry including structure and bonding, functional groups, isomers, and polymers.

An adequate high school background in math and chemistry is required. A postgraduate degree in Chemistry or a related discipline (PhD preferred).

University Teaching Experience Preferred.

Prior experience with the use of a learning management system would be an asset.
