Schedule: Monday – Friday

Ruppert Landscape is a privately held commercial landscape maintenance and construction company based in Laytonsville, MD. With a multi-state presence and a small company feel, our mission is to provide opportunities for our people, take care of our customers, and be good stewards of the environment and our community.

We are currently seeking a motivated and skilled Mechanic to join our team. This individual will play a critical role in maintaining and servicing a wide range of fleet vehicles and equipment, including diesel/gas trucks, commercial mowers, and two-cycle equipment. The ideal candidate will be flexible and adaptable, splitting their time between performing repairs in the shop and providing support out in the field to assist branch operations.

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform repairs and preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipment
• Perform mechanical work on a variety of assets, including power equipment, mowers, trucks, trailers, and other landscape tools
• Split time between performing mechanical repairs and maintenance in the shop and assisting with landscape operations and equipment needs out in the field
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the shop area
• Ensure consistent upkeep and preservation of fleet vehicles and landscaping equipment
• Accurately document and maintain service and repair records
• Provide exceptional internal customer service, prioritizing efficiency, quality, and communication
• Assist with other operational tasks as assigned

• Minimum of 1 year of hands-on mechanical experience required
• Automotive paint and bodywork experience is highly preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude, especially with gas/diesel vehicles and landscaping equipment
• Positive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow within the organization
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Ability to supply personal tools as needed for job responsibilities
• Experience with diesel engines and bilingual ability (English/Spanish) are preferred but not required
