Warehouse Equipment Technician Mechanic

Overview

Equipment Technician Position Summary The Equipment Technician is responsible for providing maintenance and service for branch vehicles and equipment as well as mixing and filling pesticides and fertilizers.

• Repair and maintenance of all equipment
• Maintain the restricted status of the chemical storage facility and keep it in a safe, clean, and orderly status
• Maintain the facility in a clean and orderly fashion
• Ensure trash and debris are removed from the grounds
• Transport vehicles and equipment for repair outside the facility
• Provide assistance with filling tanks with fertilizers and pesticides
• Offload and inventory deliveries
• PPE must be worn and used in accordance with the instructions provided. (PPE will be provided)

• Moving inventory to regional branches as needed
• In-field repairs as needed, to include support at other regional branches with equipment/facilities repairs
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Must possess a valid Virginia driver’s license
• Must have small engine repair experience
• Driving record must pass insurability test
• Must obtain VDACS registered technician license within 30 days of employment
• Must obtain forklift certification within 30 days of employment
• Be able to demonstrate the math skills necessary to read fill charts and correctly measure liquids and solids
• Must be at least 18 years or older
• Saturdays as needed

• Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of related experience
• Forklift Certified (Preferred)
• OSHA Certified (Preferred)

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to use computer keyboard and monitor for extended periods
• Walking, standing, bending, reaching, and twisting
• Able to lift 75 lbs.
• Repetitive use of hands
• Works in an unconditioned warehouse, with temperatures that vary from hot in the summer to cold in the winter
• Regularly transitions from prone to seated to standing positions
