Assistant Store Manager
O'Reilly Auto Parts is looking for an Assistant Store Manager who will support the Store Manager in sales, customer service, store appearance, and day‑to‑day operations. The role manages the store in the Store Manager’s absence, leads the team in servicing customers, and ensures the store runs smoothly on opposing shifts.

Responsibilities- Lead the store team in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
- Supervise customer service levels in the retail showroom, ensuring team members execute on programs such as Related Sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, and Rock the Lot.
- Work with the Store Manager to ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed, especially during peak business hours.
- Assist in setting team member goals, providing feedback on goal achievement, coaching and mentoring, and ensuring training is current.
- Participate in the hiring process: complete recruiting tasks, schedule and attend interviews, evaluate candidates, and collaborate with management to select qualified team members.
- Ensure the telephone is answered in accordance with company policy.
- Process buy online/ship to store, hub‑to‑store transfers, and DMV add orders in a timely manner and notify customers of shipment arrivals.
- Use the outside purchase order ledger to handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and per procedure.
- Process retail customer returns and exchanges efficiently, issue refunds accurately, and stage returned merchandise correctly in the returns area.
- Invoice all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before the product leaves the store.
- Communicate Zipline messages and delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks, ensuring completion as assigned.
- Ensure all team members comply with company policies: posted work schedules, approved deviations, and accurate clock‑in/out records.
- Perform all store opening/closing duties, including day‑end procedures, securing money and deposits, preparing bank deposits, managing security lights, locking doors, arming alarms, and securing delivery vehicles.
- Assist the Store Manager in maintaining the store building, parking lot, exterior signage and lighting, computer hardware, in‑store equipment, and delivery vehicles.
- Complete any additional duties as assigned.
Required: Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification, and RSS Certification.
Desired: Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification; fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
