The Quality Control Analyst is responsible for monitoring, inspecting, and ensuring compliance of inventory control and quality assurance processes for warehouse operations supporting the MEDLOG (Medical Logistics) program. This position ensures medical supplies are received, stored, handled, and shipped in accordance with contract requirements, regulatory standards, and internal quality procedures. The Quality Control Analyst serves as a key safeguard for product integrity, traceability, and readiness.
InventoryControl Oversight
- Monitor inventory accuracy, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping activities.
- Verify inventory transactions are properly recorded in the WASP/DMLSS inventory tracking system.
- Serve as the focal point for interfacing with DMLSS for inventory control, transaction accuracy, and data integrity.
- Conduct routine cycle counts and reconciliations; identify discrepancies and corrective actions.
- Ensure proper lot control, expiration date tracking, and segregation of materials.
- Validate proper storage conditions, including temperature-controlled and controlled-access areas.
- Perform quality inspections on inbound and outbound medical supplies.
- Verify compliance with MEDLOG contract requirements, SOPs, and quality standards.
- Ensure packaging integrity and proper labeling of medical supplies.
- Monitor adherence to handling procedures to prevent damage, contamination, or loss.
- Identify non-conformances and document findings in accordance with quality procedures.
- Support internal, external, and government audits and inspections.
- Prepare quality reports, inspection records, and corrective action documentation.
- Track trends, recurring issues, and areas for process improvement.
- Maintain organized quality records and documentation for audit readiness.
- Ensure operations align with OSHA safety standards and hazard communication requirements.
- Be familiar with SDS, PPE, and safe material handling practices.
- Report safety concerns, quality risks, or procedural deviations to management.
- High school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
- Experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, or quality assurance.
- Knowledge of or experience in medical supply handling, logistics, or regulated environments, i.e. MEDLOG is preferred.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic data analysis.
- Understanding of quality assurance principles and inspection processes.
- Experience with audits, inspections, or quality reporting is preferred.
- Effective oral and written communication skills, and proficiency in Windows Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Must have a working knowledge of and comply with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and driving history must meet company standards throughout employment.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and a background check as a condition of employment.
