About the role

As the Emergency Director, you will partner with our board-certified Criticalist and Surgeon and lead our emergency veterinary team, ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care. We value integrity, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to our patients, clients, and the referring veterinary community, with a collaborative approach and emphasis on ongoing education in emergency veterinary medicine.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the emergency veterinary team
  • Oversee and manage emergency cases, ensuring the highest standard of care
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment
  • Implement and uphold hospital protocols and standards
  • Collaborate with other department heads and board-certified Criticalist to enhance overall hospital performance
  • Actively participate in continued education and training programs
Collaboration with Specialized Centers

The Emergency Director will collaborate with multiple specialists located about an hour away in Richmond, enabling seamless access to specialized services and consultations. Working with specialists in Surgery, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Anesthesiology, Dermatology, and Dentistry supports a multidisciplinary approach to patient care and better outcomes for complex cases.
