Medication Technician

• Full-time employees eligible for all benefits (medical, dental, vision, and voluntary products)
• Part-time employees (29 or fewer hours per week) eligible for voluntary life, voluntary short-term disability, voluntary long-term disability, accident, critical illness, identity protection, and cyber monitoring
• Benefits start on the 1st of the month following 30 days of employment

• Accurately follow the resident MAR to ensure medications are given according to the Physician’s orders
• Understand and follow the Six rights of medication administration and all Bickford policies and procedures regarding medication management
• Use the eMAR system appropriately for medication administration
• Communicate appropriately with clinical leadership for clarification and direction regarding resident medication administration and care
• Provide direct resident care and supervise the care work of non‑licensed team members and other areas of the branch as appropriate
• Demonstrate the Bickford Mission “Whatever it Takes” to all other team members on shift

• Active Medication Technician Certification in good standing or at least one year of experience in the care of seniors
• High School Diploma or GED
• Willingness to take additional training or education as required by specific states
• CPR and First Aid certifications required
• Ability to handle multiple priorities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Competence in organizational and time management skills
• Good judgment, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills
• Ability to utilize or learn Bickford’s eMAR system to administer medications
