Principal Duties and Responsibilities Donor Relations
- Develop meaningful relationships with donors, emphasizing FCHC’s impact, appreciation, and the value of generosity.
- Ensure supporters remain engaged with FCHC and feel valued for their contributions.
- Maintain strong relationships with churches, business owners, and individual donors.
- Engage current and prior funders through in-person meetings, thank-you notes/cards, email, and telecommunication.
- Seek new corporate sponsors and individual donors through cold calls, events, churches, and community connections.
- Facilitate introductions and meetings between potential supporters and the CEO when appropriate, and conduct timely follow-up.
- Manage donor management software, ensuring accurate data entry, maintenance, and data analysis.
- Serve as the primary agent responsible for facilitating a comprehensive fundraising strategy, including cultivating and maintaining relationships with donors and grant-making foundations.
- Create a multi-year fundraising plan with specific funding and outreach goals, event budgets, and implementation timelines.
- Plan and implement all fundraising initiatives.
- Serve on the Board of Directors Fundraising Committee.
- Coordinate volunteer participation with the Director of Operations.
- Develop and maintain a grants strategy and timeline.
- Continually identify grant opportunities through online registries and networking with peer organizations.
- Collaborate with the CEO to identify grant opportunities aligned with FCHC’s mission and vision for sustaining and expanding operations.
- Prepare and submit Letters of Inquiry and assist the CEO with grant applications.
- Collect, monitor, and report required metrics for awarded grants.
- Assist the CEO with grant reporting and compliance requirements.
- Serve as a representative of FCHC within the community, cultivating new partnerships and nurturing existing relationships with healthcare organizations, government agencies, churches, parachurch ministries, and other nonprofits serving vulnerable populations.
- Develop public outreach campaigns that increase awareness and engagement with FCHC’s mission and services.
- Develop and implement marketing and branding strategies.
- Serve as a media spokesperson for FCHC.
- Oversee and manage FCHC’s social media presence, website, e-newsletter, and print materials.
- Hours are flexible and may include evenings and weekends, depending on the demands of events and meetings with donors and partner organizations.
- Work is primarily performed at FCHC medical offices (with designated office space at the Spotswood office) and may also include work on-site with community partners and in the community at outreach events.
