Certified Pool Operator

This position is responsible for the monitoring and upkeep of the facility’s filtration and chemical systems, maintaining the proper water balance and overall cleanliness and safety of the entire wet area under the direction of the Aquatic Manager.

• Tests and adjusts water chemistry to meet State/County code standards and sanitation regulations, and equipment manufacturer’s recommendations.
• Maintains and sanitizes pool decks, showers, and other equipment/furniture in the wet area.
• Practices preventive maintenance for pumps, suction lines, drains, hair and lint strainers, flow and control switches, flow meters, and gauges per American Family Fitness standards.
• Maintains an inventory of equipment and supplies, ensuring sufficient supplies for safe and efficient operation.
• Reports all repairs and maintenance needed for pool equipment and wet area.
• Maintains current knowledge of developments in pool equipment, facility renovation, and maintenance techniques.
• Adheres to the maintenance, testing, and cleaning schedule provided by the Aquatic Manager.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by the Aquatic Manager.
