Monitor Tech Telemetry Technician – Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center, Spotsylvania, VA. A key member of the telemetry team ensuring high quality, efficient patient care in the inpatient telemetry system.

• Accountable for monitoring the hospital‑wide inpatient telemetry system.
• Run and post rhythm strips at designated intervals.
• Initiate code blues when appropriate.
• Interpret rhythms and validate computer readouts.
• Check and verify lead placement on patients.
• Compare posted strips to previous strips and notify nursing staff of changes.
• Notify nursing staff of any changes in cardiac rate or rhythm.
• Recognize and respond to unusual or abnormal patient conditions.
• Record patient condition using computerized documentation systems.
• Orient and mentor new staff members.

• ECG monitoring experience.
• Customer service skills, including effective listening.
• Ability to quickly make decisions and report patient condition with minimal supervision.
• Ability to remain focused and maintain concentration over extended periods.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support or CPR must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
