- The Systems and Pathways Coordinator is a professional position designed to strengthen the alignment between secondary education, postsecondary opportunities, and workforce pathways within a regional high school and college partnership lab school model. This role works collaboratively with the counseling and administrative teams to refine academic pathways, support individualized college and career planning, expand experiential learning opportunities, and enhance systemic structure that promote student success.
This position offers an opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping innovative systems that connect high school, college, and career pathways in a dynamic regional lab school setting.
- Collaborate with counselors and administrators to refine and develop clearly defined academic and career pathways aligned to regional workforce and postsecondary opportunities.
- Support the development and monitoring of individual College and Career Plans (ICCPs) for students.
- Analyze pathway data to ensure equitable access, coherence, and continuous improvement.
- Assist in aligning coursework, credentials, and dual-enrollment opportunities with pathway goals.
- Develop, coordinate, and oversee meaningful internship, externship, and capstone experiences aligned with pathway objectives, to include building out credential opportunities aligned with coursework.
- Cultivate partnerships with local businesses, higher education institutions, and community organizations.
- Establish clear expectations, evaluation tools, and feedback structures for experiential learning.
- Monitor student placements and ensure high-quality mentorship and reflection components.
- Assist administration with the development and refinement of the annual Master Schedule.
- Ensure alignment between pathway course sequencing, dual enrollment offerings, staffing, and student demand.
- Support course, credential, and testing registration processes and scheduling adjustments as needed.
- Identify, pursue, and assist in writing competitive grant applications aligned with pathway and innovation goals in partnership with colleagues.
- Manage awarded grants, including budgeting, compliance, reporting, and program implementation.
- Collaborate with regional and post-secondary partners to expand funding opportunities.
- Teach pathway-connected courses, such as Student Development, College and Career Readiness, or related seminar courses.
- Incorporate work-based learning, career exploration, and postsecondary planning into instruction.
Education Attainment (Required): Bachelor's degree required
Education Attainment (Preferred): Master's degree in School Counseling, Educational Leadership, Higher Education Administration or related field is preferred
Relevant Experience (Required):
- Experience in high school education, college and career advising, and/or secondary or post-secondary counseling.
- Experience working in a secondary school setting. Or a college and career advising, Advanced Placement program coordination, and/or dual-enrollment coordination.
- Experience developing internship, capstone, or work-based learning programs.
- Experience with master scheduling or academic program design.
