Perform independent analytical decision making to evaluate and process academic, dependency, and other special circumstance appeals by accessing, interpreting, and applying federal, state, and college requirements while maintaining student confidentiality and professionalism. Engage in direct contact with students and their families to resolve complex, conflicting, and emotionally sensitive student situations and provide personalized educational and financial advising to students in academic and financial crisis.
Lead the coordination of the department’s community outreach and education activities by preparing, designing, and delivering customized financial aid planning workshops and presentations.
Regular on campus presence is expected for all LCC employment. Any flexible work schedules and/or hybrid work schedules approved by the College are subject to change based on the needs of the LCC community.
Final candidates will be subject to a criminal background check as part of the employment process.
Required Qualifications:- Bachelor’s Degree with demonstrated relevant work experience, or Associate’s Degree with significant relevant work experience. Relevant work experience may include experience in Financial Aid, Accounting, or similar financial experience.
- Demonstrated customer service experience.
- Demonstrated financial aid or other heavily regulated industry experience preferred.
- Demonstrated direct customer service experience preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in presentations, community outreach, and advising preferred.
