Business Development Manager

The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, partnerships, and market segments. This role leads initiatives to expand organizational presence in both domestic and international markets.

• Lead the development and execution of strategic business plans to achieve growth objectives and increase market share.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with partners, clients, and key stakeholders to secure new opportunities and strengthen existing collaborations.
• Collaborate closely with executive leadership to negotiate and close business deals, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and financial objectives.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify industry trends, opportunities, and risks, informing strategic decision-making.
• Coordinate with internal teams to support the successful launch and promotion of new products or services.
• Represent the organization at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to enhance visibility and develop new business connections.
• Prepare and submit proposals in response to federal and commercial solicitations as required.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
• Coursework or training in U.S. government contracting, market research, finance, or communications preferred.
• Additional education in emerging aviation markets, digital marketing strategies, or international business is a plus.

• Experience in strategic planning and market expansion.
• Proven record of driving successful business growth initiatives.
• Knowledge of the aviation industry or similarly regulated industries is highly desirable.

• This position requires regular in-office presence at the organization’s headquarters in Virginia.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
