As a Diet Clerk you will prepare dietary information for use by kitchen personnel in preparation of foods for hospital patients.

• As a Diet Clerk you will examine diet orders and menus received from hospital units and prepare tallies of specific foods to be prepared in the kitchen.
• You will process new diets and changes as required. Generate and edit tray tickets, assemble tray ticket packets, and enter data into computer.
• As a Diet Clerk you will modify diets following standards established by Dietitian.
• You will answer telephone calls and relay information concerning meal changes, complaints, or patient discharge to Supervisor or Dietitian.
• You will prepare and deliver formulas and special nourishments to unit pantries.
• You will work Trayline/tray accuracy as required for timely and accurate patient service.

• High School diploma or equivalent, supplemented by course work in nutrition.
• 2 years of experience in food service operations.
• Computer Experience Preferred.
• Experience and education may be substituted for one another.
• Food Handlers permit or must obtain during the first two weeks of hire date.
