Frederick Primary Care Associates (FPCA) is the largest medical group in Frederick County, offering comprehensive medical care for patients of all ages, from newborns to geriatrics. Established in 1997 through the merger of leading family medicine practices, FPCA now operates across nine locations including Frederick, Ballenger Creek, Brunswick, Jefferson, Spring Ridge, Woodsboro, Walkersville, and Urbana. The group features a team of 27 physicians and 19 nurse practitioners and physician assistants, providing primary care services as well as in‑office diagnostic services.
FPCA participates in most major insurance plans and offers convenient weekend sick visit hours for all patients at their Solarex Court location.
Looking for Urbana location
This is a full‑time or part‑time, on‑site position for an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) located at Urbana, MD. The APP will deliver high‑quality healthcare services, including providing primary care, diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions, and collaborating with physicians and the healthcare team. Duties include patient assessments, prescribing necessary treatments, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and contributing to the overall care of the patient population served.
Qualifications- Proficient in providing Primary Care and practicing Medicine across a range of patient age groups
- Knowledge and experience in Critical Care Medicine and Emergency Medicine is preferred
- Active certification and experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team in a fast‑paced healthcare setting
- Active state licensure and certification relevant to the role
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and in‑office diagnostic systems is highly desirable
