Registered Nurse (RN) – Delegating Nurse / Case Manager

Independent Contractor | Maryland | Developmental Disabilities

Beatty Nursing & Training, LLC is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with a background in developmental disabilities (DD) to serve as a Delegating Nurse / Case Manager. This independent contractor role focuses on promoting the health, safety, and well‑being of individuals supported in residential settings through a delegation‑based nursing model.

The Delegating Nurse maintains a caseload and is responsible for:

• Conducting initial, 45‑day, post‑hospital, and ongoing nursing assessments
• Delegating and supervising medication administration and nursing tasks performed by unlicensed staff
• Training and evaluating staff competency in delegated duties
• Reviewing MARs and physician orders
• Collaborating with program directors, agency leadership, and healthcare providers
• Ensuring all nursing documentation is completed within required regulatory time frames

This role offers a flexible schedule, with many home visits conducted evenings or weekends. Nurses self‑schedule visits in coordination with program leadership.

• Active RN license in the State of Maryland
• Minimum of 3 years of RN experience
• Experience working with the developmental disabilities population required
• Maryland DDA‑trained DD‑RN certification (or eligibility)
• Current HRST certification
• CPR/First Aid certification
• Delegating nurse experience preferred
• Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills

• Independent contractor position
• Opportunity to provide on‑call services (mutually agreed upon with additional pay)
• Must practice in accordance with Maryland Nurse Practice Act and applicable DDA regulations
