Job Description

The Labor and Delivery Nurse will be responsible for providing quality care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit, including performing OB triage. Candidates must have strong experience in labor and delivery, demonstrating effective communication and thorough patient assessments.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care in the Labor and Delivery unit

• Perform OB triage as per established protocols

• Monitor patients during labor and delivery, ensuring safety and comfort

• Maintain accurate documentation in the Meditech charting system

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 3 years of current Labor and Delivery experience required

• OB triage experience is mandatory

• Active fetal monitoring certification required (C-EFM preferred or AWHONN Intermediate accepted with a requirement to obtain C-EFM if contract exceeds one year)

• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP

• MD Compact License required

• Travel experience is preferred
