Manufacturing Technician

• Efficiently and safely operate assigned machinery, perform simple maintenance, and report malfunctioning equipment immediately.
• Set up and adjust machines to run at different sizes.
• Obtain correct materials for operation needs from the warehouse or staging area.
• Organize production flow, ensure material availability, estimate progress, and schedule breaks in alignment with production schedules.
• Accurately document and check personal work for quality and compliance, monitor products for defects, and assist with inventory processes.
• Dispense required additives to media and perform pH balance techniques as needed.
• Investigate and remedy possible production failures.
• Follow all written procedures and report discrepancies to the Area Supervisor.
• Perform all work activities safely and wear required personal protective equipment.
• Report property damage and safety hazards immediately.
• Complete production assignments timely and according to departmental schedules.
• Sign off on documentation in proper places and fill in pertinent information according to SOPs.

• Experience with manufacturing, GMP, production, staging, and inventory processes.
• Ability to comprehend and communicate in English, both written and verbally.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and push/pull up to 600 lb. wheeled kettles.
• Ability to stand for approximately 10 hours a day.
• Ability to see and distinguish colors.

• High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Willingness to train individuals with minimal relevant experience or a science AS or BS degree.

The role is based in a laboratory/cleanroom environment and requires adherence to safety protocols. The position operates on a 2nd shift schedule from 2 PM to 10:30 PM. The role offers great opportunities for advancement within a global company, providing experience in kit production, large-scale manufacturing, and GMP practices.

Contract position based out of FREDERICK, MD.

The pay range for this position is $21.09 - $21.09/hr.
